The world’s largest meteorological event!
Important message about the 2020 event.
A global event attracting around 200 exhibiting companies and 4,000 attendees from over 100 countries, Meteorological Technology World Expo is a truly international exhibition of the very latest climate, weather and hydrometeorological forecasting, measurement and analysis technologies and service providers for a worldwide community of key decision makers within the aviation industry, shipping companies, marine/port installations, airports, military operations, off-shore exploration companies, wind farm operators, met offices, agricultural operations and research institutes.
We are disappointed to announce that we have taken the decision to postpone Meteorological Technology World Expo 2020, which was due to take place at the end of this September in Paris, France.
The new dates will be 12, 13, 14 October 2021 and the venue will remain Paris, France. We’ll be in the same exhibition venue and hall as was planned for this year and you can expect to see 200+ exhibitors once again. Furthermore, the WMO’s TECO will be postponed to run alongside Meteorological Technology Wo
rld Expo 2021 too, i.e. TECO will now take place in Paris with our exhibition next year.
Why have we postponed the event? Well, while the French authorities are allowing international mass gatherings to take place in September 2020, we don’t believe we can guarantee that the event will attract as many visitors as usual. In fact, common sense says the event won’t deliver on the usual scale which typically sees around 4,000+ attendees visit from over 100 countries. Believe us, we’d rather open the show this year, but we know that during this period in history, there is no place for our own agenda.
We’re still very much in business and very much publishing Meteorological Technology International magazine, plus we are populating the web site several times a week with exclusive news. Indeed, reading hasn’t been this popular in years! We’ll most likely have various other activities operating in the virtual world later this year that can help the industry still come to together. Communication is arguably more important than ever right now, so we’ll make sure we play our bit in helping companies survive and helping them find new business and technologies.
We hope that our decision will be understood and indeed appreciated by the industry. We want to ensure that you, our exhibitors and visitors - and the WMO’s TECO delegates and speakers - attend an event that will be at its very best. We only want to run events that introduce you to more likeminded people and more meteorological technologies than you’ve ever seen before. And that’s the experience that we will deliver for you from 12-14 October 2021 in Paris, France.
